Privacy Notice for Kate Lili Blog
New EU regulations are being enforced in May 2018 regarding data protection. Alongside the data protection act 1998 there will also be General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR). The main function of the GDPR is to provide transparency about how your details are stored and used. This is great news for all of us, it means we can expect to be fully informed about how our personal information is used and also be able to opt out of those ways any time we choose.
When you use katelili.com I want you to feel confident that you know how your information is being used. I am the data controller for Katelili.com. This means that I am the only person who would see any defining personal information you may provide such as your twitter handle or your email address.
I cannot see any defining personal information such as names or email addresses.
In the future, I may hold competitions which would require you to leave an email address or twitter handle. In this instance you will be asked for your permission for me to be able to see this information i.e. for you to enter it at the time of the competition running. Email addresses or other defining information will be collated onto a spreadsheet and kept for a maximum of a month. After one month all defining information will be deleted. The information will be stored on my personal computer which is password protected. Your email address may be passed on to the company who is providing the prize for the competition. This will be clearly written in the competition’s terms and conditions, and your permission will be sought when leaving your email address for the competition.
I will never sell any personal information.
I want you to feel fully informed and confident in your personal security when visiting KateLili.com. If at any time you would like me to delete any personal information you feel I may have collected about you please email me at email@example.com and I will delete any information I have upon your request.
